Constructed in 1725 by Raja Ramachandra Jadhav, the temple is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra, the fierce warrior form of Shiva. The jatra is famous for its Rathotsava and a unique hanging pillar in the temple's mandapa that moves slightly when touched, drawing thousands of curious pilgrims and devotees from Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Telangana.
